چکیده

There is currently an increasing interest in the development of new-generation purified antigen-based vaccines with a higher safety profile compared to conventional inactivated vaccines. The main problem subunit their lower immunogenicity whole-cell and inducing weaker shorter-lasting immune responses. In this paper, results assay potency tetanus component combined diphtheria pertussis vaccine (DTwP), (DT), monovalent (T) are presented. mice model, adjuvant impact on response against was observed. It noticed that DTwP significantly than DT T vaccines, despite same bounding ability unit toxoid formulations. levels induction antibodies by tested were also examined. no differences humoral responses This publication discusses possible mechanisms other antigens positive negative aspects using as adjuvant.

Immunogenicity of a Triple Diphtheria-Tetanus-Whole Cell Pertussis Vaccine in Iranian Preschool Children

Background: Immunization against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis has been applied in Iran since 1950. WHO suggests periodical evaluation of effectiveness of the triple diphtheria-tetanus-whole cell pertussis (DTwP) vaccine, worldwide. Objectives: To determine the immunogenicity of locally manufactured DTwP vaccine administered to preschool children in a number of health centers of Tehran in 2...

Comparative Assessment of the Whole-cell Pertussis Vaccine Potency Using Serological and Intracerebral Mouse Protection Methods

One of the most important QC tests of whole-cell pertussis vaccine (WCPV) is potency test. In this regard, mouse protection test (MPT) is the current potency method, which is associated with severe animal distress and large variability in results. The purpose of this study was to assess Pertussis Serological Potency Test (PSPT) as a serological alternative method to intracerebral challenge in M...

Post-licensure safety surveillance study of routine use of tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid and 5-component acellular pertussis vaccine

An observational post-licensure (Phase IV) retrospective large-database safety study was conducted at Kaiser Permanente, a US integrated medical care organization, to assess the safety of Tetanus Toxoid, Reduced Diphtheria Toxoid and 5-Component Acellular Pertussis Vaccine (Tdap5) administered as part of routine healthcare among adolescents and adults. We evaluated incidence rates of various cl...

Safety of Tetanus Toxoid, Reduced Diphtheria Toxoid, and Acellular Pertussis and Influenza Vaccinations in Pregnancy.

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the safety of coadministering tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) and influenza vaccines during pregnancy by comparing adverse events after concomitant and sequential vaccination. METHODS We conducted a retrospective cohort study of pregnant women aged 14-49 years in the Vaccine Safety Datalink from January 1, 2007, to November 15, 2...

Adverse event reports after tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis vaccines in pregnant women.

OBJECTIVE We sought to characterize reports to the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) of pregnant women who received tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis vaccine (Tdap). STUDY DESIGN We searched VAERS for reports of pregnant women who received Tdap from Jan. 1, 2005, through June 30, 2010. We conducted a clinical review of reports and available medica...
